You are invited to join other NABA members on September 14th, 2018 at the Ralph E. Simmons State Forest for a field trip lead by Bill Berthet and Pat Leary. Bill is the author of a Definitive Destination article on butterflies at Simmons in the Fall/Winter 2017 issue of American Butterflies. This will be an excellent opportunity to see a wide variety of Florida butterflies, especially for those members who may choose to fly into Jacksonville rather than Tallahassee for the conference.
A colony of Creole Pearly-eyes was found here in 2015, the only place they have been seen in Florida. Simmons is also one of the few places in the state where one can see Dusky Roadside-Skipper.
Further information on logistics will forwarded to participants as it becomes available.
Please note: The $25 fee does not include transportation, accommodations, or food.
